Expat trips - General information

	Meeting times/places: Activity information shows a meeting time and place. If you have questions PLEASE ASK before the activity, and arrive at the right place at the time shown. This is always important, but especially if we are using public transportation (it won't wait!) or on part-day activities when we must start promptly to finish in time for people who have other obligations or plans - that includes the specialists that may be waiting to show us a sight or an area. For some activities, we may be in a time slot, so late start will shorten our visit, or create difficulties for the place we are visiting. So please be prompt!
Signup: At general meetings, coffees, other activities or by e-mail or phone (if by phone please spell your last name). Please include phone number on sigunup. Cancellations: If you have a change of plans PLEASE ADVISE, as some activities have maximum with a waiting list, or a minimum to get group rates. In both cases we need to know numbers ahead of time. See PAYMENT for refunds and substitute / replacement policy. Payment, day trips and multi-day trips: Within 48 hours of signup unless deadline is in that time - then payment should be within 24 hours. Payment is not refundable, though someone can go in your place - ask if you need help finding a substitute. (This policy is because commitments or payments are made in advance with hotels or other parties, and a cancellation may mean a loss of money, or a problem with a hotel or supplier). If trip is cancelled due to low signup, you will receive a full refund.
Payment, part-day activities: for now, if there is no chance to pay before a part-day activity (general meeting, coffee with participation of trips coordinator), these activities in and near Madrid can be paid on the same day, except in cases where payment must be made to a third party, when payment may be required on signup (see trip description). PLEASE try to bring correct change, or at least not big bills. This same-day payment is a courtesy to club members; this policy may change if people sign up and don't show up, or cancel at the last minute. Please remember that your cancellation may affect the price for other participants, or may mean the organizer cannot recover expenses. If you cancel very late or just don't show up, you may be required to pay future trips in advance even if other participants pay on the same day.
Private / Semi private trips: Sometimes a trip may be organized mainly for a club or group of friends. Signup policy may vary depending on the situation, but usually guests may attend if accompanied by a member of the organizing group and if space is available.
