| www.incmadrid.com | EN. International Newcomers Club (INC), though definitely not just for newcomers! English-speaking women's club with people from all over the world (and a few men, too). This is a great way to get information about living in Spain if you are new, but also a good way to make friends. Social activities for couples and families, women of all ages. No clubhouse, but a monthly general meeting (wine or olive-oil tasting, talks on different subjects, etc). |
| www.awcmadrid.com | EN. American Women's Club (AWC). Similiar to INC, though as name indicates somewhat less international in focus, and a little more for long-term residents. AWC has a clubhouse in the north part of the city and organizes fundraisers, for different projects. |

| www.barrabes.es | EN. Great sports store in the Pyrenees. If you need special gear while here, this is definitely a place to keep in mind. Now in Madrid, too, great selection of clothes and boots. Ask us about other places in Madrid if you forgot to bring something. |
| www.renfe.es | EN. Spanish railroads. Gets you nearly everywhere you need to go, overnight trains a great option for longer trips (get a bunk!!). Only moderately bike- friendly but very useful once you learn basic rules (most rules on website). |
| www.iberia.com | EN. Spanish national airline, flys direct to several destinations on east coast and (usually) to Chicago. Often has good on-line deals. |
